MOUNT OLIVE, NEW JERSEY - Callaremi Buick Pontiac, GMC and Cadillac on Route 46 was scheduled to be shut down as part of General Motors’ reorganization plan in January of 2010.
After an outcry from local residents, intense lobbying from the owner Michael Callaremi and his family, and support from Sen. Frank Lautenberg and Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, GM has decided to reinstate the a family-run car dealership.
A 'Many Thanks' celebration will be held at the dealership from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, October 24th.
