STS-118 Educational NASA TV

I was a high school sophomore in 1986, sitting in my science classroom with a large TV next to the teacher, eagerly awaiting the space shuttle challenger's launch. It was a moment larger than life. A teacher just like mine was going into space.

Excitement quickly turned to an overwhelming feeling of sadness as we all watched in silence as the Shuttle disintegrated moments after launch, killing all seven astronauts on board.

It is truly amazing to me how far technology has come in such a short period of time. Tomorrow... teachers, students, families, anyone, can watch NASA TV and/or online web cast of the crew members of space shuttle Endeavour in a space-to-ground conversation with an audience at the Discovery Center of Idaho. The program is scheduled for 3:09pm Mountain Time. For More Information visit NASA Television http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/

I do believe I've been waiting for this moment for the last 21 years.
